Tunneling at Phasels Wood

Referred to by most as the potholing system it is fair to say that there is a good resemblence of real potholes and the overground staff get plenty of eyeopening insights into how groups cope with the challenges of being underground.

Whatever you want to call it, our tunneling system is a route of concrete tubes buried in the ground leading up, down and around.

There are two systems, a short, fairly wide route for participants to get used to crawling around in the dark, and another longer route which is a bit more challenging with narrower gaps.

Ideal activities to group with this one:

The nature of the activity and the constant addition of rainwater means that the participants will almost certainly get dirty and the advice is old clothing long sleeved and long leggings with a change of clothing especially if you want to keep on the good side of a coach driver.
