Key Stage 1-3
Key Stage 1 Adventure Days
At Key Stage One, an exciting and challenging day can be planned, aiming to encourage young children to become increasingly independent and self confident, as well as learning respect and caring for each other. Through a variety of physical or environmental activities we aim to encourage team work.
Many teachers see real benefits back in the classroom from a challenging day outdoors with this age group.

Key Stage Two Residential Visit
Many schools enjoy bringing their Key Stage Two children for a taste of a variety of activities. All sessions are structured for maximum participation. Children are taught about safety and allowed to experience the sense of responsibility which goes with this new knowledge. When climbing, children are taught to belay (manage the safety rope under supervision), so everyone takes an active role at all times. In all activities we recognise the importance of suitable equipment. For example, in archery, special junior bows allow pupils to learn quickly. On these courses the aim is not to produce future champions, but to foster teamwork and self reliance through the introduction of new and exciting sports.
